Introduction
This tutorials will show you how simple it is to bring in your fully textured Vue D'Esprit terrain objects into ZBrush.
Step 1: Create the Terrain in Vue D'Esprit
Open up the Terrain Editor in Vue D'Esprit, and sculpt your terrain.
Step 2: Texture the Terrain in Vue D'Esprit
With the terrain object selected, clcik CTRL-M, or select Objects - Change Object Material from the menu, and choose a Landscape material.

Step 3: Export to ZBrush Friendly Formats
Open up the Terrain Editor again, and click on the Export Terrain button.
Ensure the 'Generate Material Maps' is selected, and under 'Color Map File' browse to the Zbrush ZImportExport folder. In the Save As dialog box, Save As type, select BMP.
Under 'Export Terrain As', ensure that .OBJ is selected, and select the File Name to also go to the ZImportExport folder. Click 'OK' and your color map, and mesh will be exported.
Step 4: Importing the Terrain 3D Object
In ZBrush, select the polyMesh 3D (the star) from the Tools section. Expand the Inventory section from the Tools section, ensuring OBJ is selected click the IMPORT button and select the OBJ file you just exported from Vue.
Drag out the terrain object onto the canvas, and hit the 'T' key, or click on the 'Edit Object' on the floating palette to ensure you are in the 3D edit mode.
Step 5: Importing the Terrain Texture
On the texture section, and under Inventory select IMPORT, and browse to the BMP you exported from Vue.
Your terrain object should automatically get wrapped in the texture map. Below is what the terrain looks like inside of ZBrush.
That's all there is to it. Now you can refine the texture using the Texture Master script if required, and modify the geometry as required inside Zbrush.
