The Irrlicht Engine is an open source high performance realtime 3D engine written in C++. It is completely cross-platform, using D3D, OpenGL and its own software renderer, and has all of the state-of-the-art features which can be found in commercial 3d engines.
We've got a huge active community, and there are lots of games in development that use the engine. You can find enhancements for Irrlicht all over the web, like alternative terrain renderers, portal renderers, world layers, tutorials, editors, bindings for perl, ruby, python, and so on. And best of all: It's completely free.

AntTweakBar.
AntTweakBar is a small and easy to use C/C++ library that allows programmers to quickly add a light and intuitive GUI into OpenGL or DirectX based graphic programs to interactively tweak them. Program variables can be linked to a graphical control that allows users to modify them. Programmers are not required to design the graphical interface by providing coordinates or by using a visual UI editor. Controls are automatically organized following an optional given hierarchy.
AntTweakBar targets graphical programs that need an easy way to tweak parameters and see the result in real-time like 3D demos, light inline game editors, small 3D applications, prototypes, debug facilities of weighter graphical programs, etc.
AntTweakBar works with Linux and Windows (32 bits), and can be easily integrated with your own windowing system or with existing toolkits. Examples of integration with GLFW, SDL, GLUT and DirectX are provided.

Lightflow Rendering Interface.
The Lightflow Rendering Interface is an object oriented programming interface to synthetic rendering, which provides a common environment and description language to treat light distribution in three dimensional spaces.
A major advantage of the system is that it has been made looking for complete extensibility since its creation, providing the user with simple and flexible extension mechanisms, which allow, among the others, procedural definition of: surface and volumetric patterns and materials, new parametric surface types, general lighting systems, camera lenses and output redirection.
The interface is made up by a set of language independent classes and procedures that allow to define three dimensional scenes, so that an actual interface implementation may be easily used both as an output device by external programs and as a separate rendering tool by single individuals.
Currently, two versions of the Lightflow Rendering Interface are freely available for non commercial uses: the Client Side C++ API, and a limited Python wrapping that allows easy scene construction via scripting
