Realistic Lighting Rig .
This tutorial will show you how to create a lighting rig that will simulate daytime lighting conditions. Most importantly, it will allow you to easily adjust the rig so you can reuse the rig in many different scenes. "TVLogos 101" part II.
Now it's time to take things a bit further. Let's say you've successfully edited, extruded, and beveled your text. Now is a great time to define surface names for the front, back, sides, and bevels of your text...

3d Les Paul in Lightwave.
Hey, Welcome to my 1st ever tutorial (yay)... So bear with me if it's not exactly clear, and of course understand i'm an amateur too, just trying to help out the community that helped me out. Also, I won't be giving out numbers and stuff, cause its just a general tutorial on how to model basically any guitar, it's probably better this way for you. I'm sorry if I am not specific enough on certain parts, remember this is a pretty general tutorial... however if you would like clarifications on any aspect of it... just give me a shout.

A simple particle explosion..
I've noticed reading the newsgroups & such that a lot of people are interested in blowing things up!
Although Lightwave doesnt have a "bomb" button, you can make your own explosions that look a lot more realistic.
All it takes is imagination.

A simple puppet hand..
This is the sort of thing you should be able to make in 10 minutes or so, (give or take.)
All it takes is an understanding of some of the more basic tools available in Lightwave3D modeler.
O.K then, roll up your sleeves & let's get stuck in!

advanced glass setup.
fresh with the lightwave 7.5b update, newtek gave us a new gradient function called 'thickness'. since i prefer to work with gradients instead of plugins i started to play with this function to create nice looking glass. to speed up the things a little bit, i won't use lights, just a hdri as reflection/refraction enviroment.

Basic Head Modeling.
In this series of tutorials Philip is showing an interesting approach on modeling a head; first a relatively low-poly head is modeled which can then be detailed and characterized to become pretty much every (human) head you like. These free parts show you how to model this prototype, and we'll continue in the VIP area by detailing and UV-mapping and creating a basic texture.

Blast off with Hypervoxels 2.0 .
NewTek introduced Hypervoxels 2.0. What a plugin! Not only can you create highly detailed HyperVoxel "solids", you can now create those puffy clouds you’ve always dreamed of. As an added bonus, you can actually fly through these clouds and maintain a high level of detail. I love the fact that the closer you get to the HyperVoxels, the more details emerge

Blood Cells Tutorial .
Ok this was pretty simple to set up (well for the first time it worked how I imagined!!!!) I modeled the blood cell in reference to Adrian's tutorial (modified slightly to suit my needs.) Everything else was done in layout. Most of these settings are the same as Adrian's except with a bit of motion. Under the backdrop color panel go back into the texture environment and create two envelopes for scale and position.

Boiling Suns.
It seems like nearly every 3D enthusiast, whether a hobbyist or a working professional, has at least briefly flirted with space animations. Its been done and re-done so many times, its got age spots, and yet there are few things more enjoyable to create than a nice explosion, a big sizzling energy beam, or maybe just a huge organic looking space ship bristling with laser cannon and ram-scoops.
