Rolling A Ball Along A Path by Ben Cowell .
This is a very simple tutorial describing how to animate a ball or a wheel rolling down an irregular path. It was devised by my in answer to a need for a car which could drive around corners but still have the wheels rotate accordingly. I assume you know a fair amount about MAX and won't bother explaining every little detail.

Plug-In Tutorial.
Plug-In Basics: The Splash plugin consist of two main types of objects:
Pool - the water area where the action takes place. It is situated in Create/Fluid Mechanics panel. After creating it you can change the mesh Density (the greater density the smother ripples will be) and other parameters which will be described later.
Stones - the objects that fall or move in the water. They are in the Helpers/Fluid Mechanics panel. There are two types of Stones: Impact Stones (I-Stone) and Wake Stones (W-Stone). I-Stones lets you to make splashes and ripples on the water when something falls into the water. W-Stone is a helper that can be linked to an object that moves on the water surface (water crafts, ships, boats, animals like ducks or swans and others) and make wakes that are left after the floating object.

Anisotropic Reflections .
What are Anisotropic Reflections? Well, some people have seen some recent images rendered with the renderer Brazil, and some have noticed a shader type in 3DStudio MAX called anisotropic, and we see anisotropic effects everyday of our lives without really knowing we're seeing them. So the purpose of this lesson is to discuss what they are, how they work in the real world, and how that translates to the 3d world.
