The Gallery Generator Feature now allows you to create an interactive 3D environment which can then be shared via a simple URL. 3D Builder allows the end user to create 'Snap Shots' of there 3D environment which can then be saved to disk. 3D Builder now supports Wavefront Models (*.obj) with associated Material Files(*.mtl) which defines multiple texture maps. The new File Locator feature allows the users to specfiy the loction of Model's and Textures as a URL which will allow you to share your models over the Web.

3DSOM Pro is a powerful tool for creating professional quality 3D content from still images. A wide range of objects can be modelled including those with holes and 'difficult' organic shapes. Using a conventional camera, photos of your object on a printed mat are taken from a number of viewpoints in front of a plain backdrop. The shape of the object is automatically extracted from each photo and this information is used to build a high quality 3D mesh.

This website is an example of work by Brando Benaway. I attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, majoring in 3D Modeling. CG was done using Alias Wavefront's Maya, and post was completed using Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop.
